The first is a shady beach with a direct view of the ocean, perfect for lounging and enjoying the sun. You may hire cosy beds here to make the most of the day. The second is the section of level cliffs that both the left and right sides of the beach embrace. Parking is available along the beachfront road.

Calafuria: One of the most intriguing sloping areas in Livorno, it lies between rocky cliffs and secluded slopes. It provides breathtaking views of the sea and the nearby coast, making it the ideal spot for diving enthusiasts. Although there aren’t any actual beaches, the smooth, level cliffs are easily accessible. Parking is available along the seaside road.

Cala del Leone: One of Livorno’s most picturesque bay. The rocks of the promontory that formerly held Sidney Sonnino’s magnificent castle encircle Cala del Leone. Situated amidst Quercianella and Calafuria, this place is distinguished by its pristine sea, pebbles, and sandy shoreline. Parking is available along the beachfront road. However, due to the steep descent to the sea, access to the beach is not recommended for people with young children or for the elderly.

Vada: Vada Beach is 25 km from Livorno and is well-known across the world for its excellent white sand and blue waters. It is ideal for a day by the sea and the sun, and the whole family may enjoy the many services and activities it has to offer. The sand’s peculiar hue, which has drawn comparisons to tropical beaches, is the consequence of years of processing and calcium carbonate releases from a Solvay group plant located approximately a kilometre from the coast.
